Prof. dr. Kay W. Axhausen
Prof. dr. Kay W. Axhausen (born 8 October 1958) is Full Professor of transportation planning at ETH Zurich, where he leads the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems (IVT). He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as a PhD in civil engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Professor Axhausen is known for writing hundreds of papers on the topic of transport planning and travel behaviour analysis.
As BIVEC-GIBET Transport Research Chair, he will give a series of three
lectures (dates to be communicated, but one of the lectures will take place during the BIVEC-GIBET transport research days).

The first lecture was given during the Transport Research Days 2023 in Leuven.
Lecture 2: Experiences with long-duration surveys
This second lecture was given on November 30, 2023 (16:00-1800 CET) in Liège. The lecture was given in the Management School of the University (HEC Liège).
Lecture 3: Working from home and its integration into agent-based simulation
This third lecture was given on June 25, 2024 (15:00-1700 CET) in Delft. The lecture was given in collaboration with the TRAIL Research School at the TU Delft.
